What makes these pads unique is they feature a layer of engineered, instant rebound foam between the pad and the backing plate. The instant rebound foam layer acts as a cushion or shock absorber between the backing plate on the machine and the surface you're polishing. This allows the pad to absorb off-axis motion while maintaining a constant and uniform pressure on the surface. To make it simple, this allows a beginner to achieve the results of a professional.
As you can see below, the rebound foam is super soft and acts as a cushion or shock absorber. The rebound foam absorbs the uneven pressure while polishing which allows 100% of the face of the pad to remain flat on the surface.
