I'm always eager/curious to try different detailing products and buffing pads are no different.

Now I hear AG is going to be carrying the PAC ConstantPressurePads and theses are indeed my favorite, with the Kompressor pads being a close second.
I also see that AG has the new LC offering,HydroTech Kompressors:

Looks like i'll be picking a few of them to try out too http://www.live2detail.com/images/smilies/wall.gif

It's ALREADY failed for me. I just placed an order for Ultima Elstrafoam and P21S Polishing Soap.

Jesus, that is some pad collection. Question: how many pads do you use to polish and wax? On the average.

5-10 (all different sizes, depends on the vehicle i'm polishing.)I clean my pads after i'm done with the detail and not on the fly.

I thought I seen a thread started by Nick(AG) about AG getting/offering the Constant Pressure Pads?
I can't find the thread but i'm interested when AG will have these?

Chris,

Like you I enjoy trying different pads and find they do perform differently depending on their source. I really like the way Lake Country Kompressor Pad work on my rotary and because I'm not a production shop I like the 6" size the best.

Nice collection!! :props:

Actually they already carry the constant pressure pads, and in Mikes Bumblebee thread I asked him about why it hasn't been "official" yet. Said something along the lines of good things will come to thos who wait. So I'm guessing they haven't officially announced these pads yet because they'll probably do a bundle deals like 3pk, 6pk etc. Other than that you can order them now.

6.5" Flat
Lake Country Constant Pressure Technology 6.5 Inch Flat Pads, foam pads, buffing pads (http://www.autogeek.net/constant-pressure-flat-pads.html)

5.5" CCS
Lake Country Constant Pressure Technology 6.5 Inch CCS Pads, foam buffing pads (http://www.autogeek.net/constant-pressure-ccs-6-5-pads.html)

Are these that good? When I was trying to find an online review for them people where calling it a gimmick and the few that did try it out said the backing on it failed on them one to many times.

Also IID have you tried 3D new thick foam backed pads? Its pretty much my fav besides Meguiar's MF pads.

David Fermani told me he sees the CP pads as a great idea for a rotary, but not ideal for a DA. :dunno:

Sweet pad collection.

Could you share your thoughts on the best pad for soft paint (assuming you have already compunded).

Sweet pad collection.

Could you share your thoughts on the best pad for soft paint (assuming you have already compunded).

The best pad that works for me for semi-finishing(after compounding) is the green ConstantPressure pad with OPT PolishII or GTechniq P1,then I will finish with 3M light blue pad, with OPT Finish Polish or GTechniq P2.
Usually(for me)soft paint needs a semi & finish step to get perfect/marr free paint(if compounding is needed).
