Last week started off with me thinking to myself "self- I need a pre-wax cleaner" I like waxing and trying different products and i dont like the idea of using APC or the like to strip the old wax off. When the BOGO popped up for the Prima Amigo I jumped all over it.
When I received my package i did what evey man does--I twisted the cap and smelled it. Smells good. I then proceded to read the label. On the front it says "Use it once and it's your new best friend." I now have a new best friend becasue this stuff is awesome in many ways. On to the back label. In a nut shell it is a filling glaze, a pre-wax cleaner and what caught my eye was the last 2 words. "Dust free" Now while I read this i thought "well I hope there isn't any dust in the product." This statement became more apparent as I wiped off my initial layer.
I read this review before hand

This is what I am working with
http://i98.photobucket.com/albums/l264/scoobydann/DSC01702.jpg
The car has been corrected with 105/205 and previously sealed with Menz Powerlock and topped w/ Pinnacle Liquid Souveran
Dust was an instant problem just in the garage and became more apparent with the romps in the desert

Same dirt road, my car fully protected, FJ Swirl-o-matic only washed.
Different day, same results

On to the first impressions
I Started the day off with a 2BM and duragloss wash, blow dried (neighbors think im weird) and final dried with a WW guzzler
I used the product fairly heavy (not sure this is the correct way) but it seemed to work for me.
PC 7424xp with a flat black LC pad on a speed of 2.5
I did 2x2 sections with 3 passes before it seemed to dry out (upper 80's with about 45% humidity)
I would do one panel at a time and wipe off one panel at a time. The wipe down was just as easy as it was to put on and left a buttery smooth surface once wiped completly down.
What really shocked me (no pun intended) was after the wipedown of any product I have used previously was static electricity in the plastic fender flares.

When i would walk by my hairs would literally stand on end as you got closer to the flares
When I wiped off the Amigo the static was non existant (to the touch anyway.) I proceded to finish off the front half of the car with the Amigo and protected it with 845. It did fill in quite a bit of swirls but really didn't touch anything you can really see.(soft black SS that scratches when you look at it funny.) The back half of the car was the previously applied Menz PL topped with Dodo Blue Velvet. (2 wks old)

http://i98.photobucket.com/albums/l264/scoobydann/dustdetail018.jpg
So I said "self, we should see what it does in the desert." So I loaded up my water and proceded to my oasis.
Not sure if these pics will come out but there was definately a difference in dust attraction. It was still there but the Amigo/845 had significantly less dust

Amigo/845/not as much dust
http://i98.photobucket.com/albums/l264/scoobydann/dustdetail026.jpg
http://i98.photobucket.com/albums/l264/scoobydann/dustdetail028.jpg
Is Amigo the dust killer, probably not. But it did cut the dust attraction on my car even when this wasn't the reason I purchased it.
Prima Amigo conclusion
Pre-wax cleaner - :xyxthumbs:
Glaze to cover minor imperfections - :xyxthumbs:
"dust free" - Better check than most :xyxthumbs:
Recomended - :dblthumb2:
and a parting shot
