So I tried out the DP Glass Restorer on some hard water spots and etching along all of my windows. I didn't get the results I was looking for, but it did removed some of the hard spots. I used my PCXP with Spot Buffing Pads (orange and Yellow). More or less it lightened the water spots, but they are still present. Is there any other solution?

DP glass Restorer worked great on my cars. I was hoping that it would work as well on a boat's windshield that was heavily spotted. It did lighten the water spots some but it didn't get rid of them. I tried many different glass cleaners and concoctions of vinegar but nothing really worked. I finally found a bottle of Duckys water spot remover at a boat dealership and that has worked wonders on the water spots. You might be able to find it at a marina or boat supply place.

The last time i used a glass restorer i used a rotary with the LC orange 4" flat pads. It wasn't DP but another brand. Regardless if you have a rotary that might give you the power to get those spots out.

Remember to tape off the trim around your windows if you go this route.:dblthumb2:

I also tried DP Restorer,on some heavily spotted glass I even let sit for a bit but to no avail!
You could try what sharpcard said, but I read somewhere that #0000 wool an some glass cleaner as lubricant would remove the water spotting.

Keep the wad of your # 0000 steel wool completely wet with your "lube" in order to keep the fine strands of the steel wool from flying around to a minimum. I'd cover the hood, fenders, and whatever else you would deem necessary, to also keep the debris (it rusts almost immediately) from landing on these surfaces.

Depending on the severity, I've used Bon-Ami or Bar Keeper's Friend with success.

There's also kits like the Diamondite ones sold here at AGO.

Just a couple suggestions.

Steel wool and vinegar, you don't necessarily need 0000,000 will work just as well.

On heavy waterspotting some times a couple polish sessions are needed. I am not sure about yellow pads however, I usually stop with the orange ones.

I could not remove some water spots either with a DA, 4-in orange pad, and DP Glass Restorer even when using lots of pressure. I ended up using a product called A-MAZ but it was messy to work it (thick paste and dried out when worked).
