View Full Version : My 1st detailing customer !!!

Hello All,
I am not new to detailing cars, I have been doing my own for a long time, although
I have learned quite a bit here.
One of my neighbors liked how my cars looked 2009 Camry SE and 2010 Lincoln MKZ
That she asked me if I would give here 2004 Toyota Avalon a good detail. She used to bring to Toyota to have it done. I told her sure I would do it for her..she is a 70 year old lady and a great neighbor who just recently lost her husband, so I asked her what she wanted and she told me and I said that I would beat the Toyota DLR's prices and do a better job.
I used the 2 bucket method for my wash.
Products used:
Megs Deep Chrystal Car Wash.
Megs Wheel Cleaner
Daytona Speed Brush
Megs Ultimate Compound
Liquid Glass as my sealer
Megs Hot Tire Shine
Megs quick Interior Detailer
Blue Magic Carpet Stain and Spot Lifter
Cleaned and washed the engine bay and Sprayed it with Megs Insane Shine Tire Foam.
Porter Cable 7424 XP
Lake Country 5.5 Orange pad for the UC
Lake Country 5.5 Grey Pad for the Liquid Glass application.
Microfiber towels
Here are the finished pictures the whole process took me 4 hrs and I charged her $100.00 here are the pics. She was very happy when she took del. Here are the pics.

Thank you mike, she already wants to refer me to 2 other people :xyxthumbs:
I also used WD40 to remove all of the bugs and tar off the bumpers and the bottom of the doors and rocker panels.

Nicely done man! congrats on your first customer.
Never thought about using a tire product on the engine bay, it looks great.

Thank you for the complement.. And old trick I learned is that you can use a tire foam in the engine bay..let the foam desolve then start and warm up the engine until the product dries if there is any left over I'll wipe off with a clean cloth.

Thank you bill , the compound did a great job of removing several long scratches in the doors and realy shined up the silver paint well..the tire shine works real well in the engine bay

Thank you Mike...coming from the detail expert himself means alot. Since this woman such a very nice lady..I threw in the engine detail and I touched up some bumper and wheel scratches for free. When she took del. of the car she told me that " it looks so nice I hate to drive it and there are several people who i'll refer you to" so she was very..very happy.

Thank you very much Bob..here is another pic, that I forgot to through in. I also forgot to mention that I sprayed all of the plastic fender wells with protectant.
