If anyone is interested:

The National Porsche Parade is being held in Savannah, GA this year. Every year, this national event is held in a different city. The event brings thousands of Porsche's from across the globe. There will be a one of a kind concours event held on August 1, 2011. Over 400 Porsche's will be judged. You will see everything from daily drivers to million dollar museum pieces.

The Parade itself is closed but my local Porsche club has been invited to the concours since we are only a few hours away. If anyone is in the area and interested in attending please let me know. You may need my ID to get in and I can set up a meeting locale.

The event will be held in downtown Savannah at Forsyth Park (amazingly beautiful park). The concours starts at 9:00 and runs till about 3:00. I will have my camera in tow to capture any swirls!

If I lived any where close to you I'd definitely be going!

Hop on that JetBlue and come on down. Afterall, your new clients aren't going anywhere soon. Know what I mean? :)

Sounds like a great time, Ed! I'm going to a different Concours show on Sunday July 31 in Plymouth, should be a good time! One of the categories for this year is Fifties Color and Chrome so I expect to see some really awesome iron.

Lol yeah. Well between moving, detailing, and renovating my new place i don't have much time.

And your right the new clients probably aren't going any where. I must say climbing in and out of the back of a hearse is creepy!

We close on Friday. We have already moved out. Right now everything is a mess at our new place. Upstairs is waiting for a new floor and for me to finish the bathroom. We are currently sleeping in the living room with our mattress on the floor. Some of the floor will hopefully get done tomorrow worst case Saturday.

Here a few pictures from the Annual Porsche Club of America Porsche Parade. I made the trek up to Savannah this morning for the concours. A storm of biblical proportions followed me the whole way up so needless to say, my car was trashed by the time I got there. No show for me!

A field of Porsche's. There were probably a few hundred in this field alone. There was another field next door that held another hundred or so.

Let the judging begin. The judges are allowed 5 minutes per car. If they can open it, they will look in it.

My favorite body style: 930 Turbo

A funky 4 wheel drive rally car

The mack daddy of all Porsche's: Carrera GT. This car set a track record at Talladega at 194 mph. Wicked and way out of my price range.

This is the same type that killed James Dean. This is not a replica but the real deal. Porsche 356. The restoration of this car is perfect. Every nut, bolt and screw is hand tightened. It leaks from everywhere but is only driven from a trailer to a parking spot. Neat little car.

You can't really tell by the pictures of how dirty my car was. I parked in the corral with the rest of the common folk and didn't let a judge anywhere near it.

It was good to get her home for a nice bubble bath and massage. The weather was horrible and no sun to speak of at the show. I was on swirl hunt but it was just too overcast to capture any.

I'll see if I can make up for it with the pics I took here in Michigan on Sunday... the sun was out and it was HOT.

Sorry to hear your day didn't go as well. :(
