So I've never used applicators just always sprayed the tire dressing on. I have been looking into trying some out but not sure about them. This one in particular Tire & Trim Dressing Applicator (http://www.autogeek.net/sm505.html) Does it store the product inside the black case or do I dip it in the dressing? Maybe its a stupid question lol

You add product to it. Gel or whatever you use. Makes dressing very neat and tidy. I wash mine out with APC every so often.

Hey Tom, i really like these --->Cobra Flex Foam Tire Dressing (http://www.autogeek.net/tire-applicator.html). i just store it in a plastic ziplock bag that way any build up doesnt get on anything in storage. after using them i cant believe it used to just spray on the tire dressing and keep moving. now i have a uniformed look and limited sling(well none with Duragloss Wet Look Tire Shine (http://www.autogeek.net/duragloss-wet-look-tire-shine.html), awesome stuff btw!)

if u get the one u were asking about above, give some feedback on how u like it. :dblthumb2:

I like the fact the the ones I posted contain dressing in it. I'm also tired of cleaning panels and windows after spraying tire dressing.

I guess the ones you like you just spray on the tire then wipe with the applicator?

You got it...just don't spray so much, or so heavy..just a light spritz and work it in and all over tire. You won't have a lot of overspray, and will save on product. The applicator you asked about it great. I have two..one for tires and one for interior; use, put on cover and toss into the detail bag which is only used on trips or at shows. In the shop I use the curved one that Griot's Garage has....works great. :props:

i didnt realize the one u are getting has the dressing already in it. i guess i didnt read the product description when i clicked on the link. doh! lol

i actually spray the dressing on the applicator pad and then apply to the tire. this avoids getting the dressing all over everything like u described :props:

They come dry, you add the product you want to use.

I have one but have not used it. I do like the little plastic case. I have used the softer white foam version of the applicator for trim dressing - almost too soft.

My favorite applicator is the No Mess Tire Applicator. Done over 100 tires with one applicator.

That one in the first post reminds me of the shoe shine ones I see at the store. I always wondered if it had product pre applied to the applicator

you know... these are the kinda things you think you would think of on your own, but it never occurred to me to do this. i spray the tires, wipe the the tires and then re-clean the rims, cause I'm stupid. i will definitely do it this way from now on, dopey me.
