I'm not talking about dawn strong I just mean putting too much car wash soap in. Can a reg wash soap strip the wax?

Maybe not the first washing, and depending upon the product and its dilution--sure it will strip wax, with repeats. Never seen any of the major top tier auto wash prods do it right away tho. Thats why that sacrifice barrier of something regularly put on top of the wax is vital...kind of takes the soap hit first. :props:

Yes you can. It's not going to be the same with every soap or every LSP, but it is totally possible to strip, or at least degrade, the LSP with a too high concentration of soap.

I filled my foam Canon about an 1/8 prob less than that of cg purple wash n wax. I have wolfgang 3.0 on my merc and cg sealant on my van. Both don't seem to look as good anymore.
