STEAMER! The only way to go.

The Tornador also works great, if slower.

i spray the product onto a towel and lightly rub against the headliner.

spray folex on a terry towel and wipe in one direction

you don't want to get the headliner wet or you risk delamination

Depending the material of the headliner....if cloth I use a lint roller to nap the dirty loose fibers. As other suggested, after the lint roller use FOLEX lightly.

Folex works if used very carefully. The problem with many stain removers and other cleaners is that if used incorrectly, it will cause tiger striping. I've used Folex many times on headliners with great results, but only on isolated cases.

I vacuum it first to remove any dust or debris that might be stuck in it. You'd be amazed at just how much will come off by vacuuming.

Then I take a clean MF, spray some OPC on it diluted down to 3:1or Folex and wipe the whole thing down. Tougher stains may get a spot treatment with the steamer, but I don't like using a steamer on headliners as the heat and moisture can cause the glue to loosen.

I had a friend come to me after accidentally spraying Coke all over his headliner.

There was also some pre-existing dirt and such. First, I vaccumed to get the big stuff. Then a light spray of Meg's APC+ at 10:1. Then I patted it with a towel. Repeated that a few times, then vacuumed again to get all of the extra liquid out.

Headliner was almost spotless afterwards.
