AG sells the electric version, however GG also makes an air powered version. Is there any advantage in going for the air powered DA over the electric one?

Access to an air compressor, for one thing.

I find the noise from an air tool more annoying than an electric one, but maybe thats just me.

better suited for damp sanding since you're not mixing water and electricity....

If I didn't have a sufficient compressor for the job, I wouldn't have asked.

How was he suppose to know? You didn't make that clear in your original post. There is really no need for a response like that.

I would have thought it would have been obvious.

I have the 3 in air version. I almost never use it. I bought it before the 3in electric was available.

The air hose is cumbersome. It is heavy and not very flexible. It potentially could damage the paint as it hits it.

The power is not any better. It is fairly easy to stop rotatation even at higher PSI.

I have not tried the 6 in pneumatic, but, I will stick to the electric versions for me.
