Hello Mike, while I've watched countless tutorials you've done I still lack basic product knowledge and hands on experience, you've probably ansered time and time again so please bear with me.

I just put in a decent size order and I still continue reading on the forum and website and now wondering if I got the products I need.

The truck unfortunatley sits outside and driven twice a week. I've got a black 08 Silverado, with minor spiderwebs, some swirls, pigtails that were covered by molding and a few stg 1 water spots. I know in person visual is better than verbal judgements but based off of these defects what products would you suggest in addition to what I have ordered.

Below is the list of what I ordered.

I'll let the professionals chime in on what you might still need, although your list looks really good to me! I do want to remind you that with every order, you can choose a free sample. Also, with orders over $500.00 you get a free Autogeek banner. You should contact Autogeek via phone if you did not add the free sample to your cart, and to confirm that the banner will be included with your shipment. I'm not sure if you need to add that to your cart or not.

Oh, and because this is your first post... Welcome to Autogeek!!

Welcome to the forum.

And how the heck did you get the Flex XC3401 for $129. Must have been a typo.

But you have enough stuff there to take care of any problems that you see on your paint.
Just be careful the first time you are using the heavier compound. Start out with the lesser compound and pad and work your way up if required.

That's actually the price of the Tornador. The prices all got shifted a little bit because of the Megs APC line.

The XMT swirl removers work good but I would upgrade to different polishes for a black truck and get more orange and white buffing pads and only one or two finishing pads. If you want to apply your wax or sealant by machine then get one gray pad for final polishing and either a red or a blue for applying your wax or sealant. Most of the buffing will need to be done using either foam cutting or polishing pads.

I'm showing Pinnacle Advanced Swirl Remover and Advanced Finishing Polish for this weekend's Saturday Detailing 101 Class and while these products are not talked about a lot on the forum they work great.

I'm also going to show them in the Advanced Class for use with a rotary buffer to remove sanding marks and then polish to a high gloss. The comments from the last two classes about these to products was overwhelmingly positive.

Other great options would include,

The Wolfgang Twins - Wolfgang Total Swirl Remover and Finishing Glaze
The Meguiar's Twins - M105 and M205
Any of the Menzerna polishes a good combo is the Super Intensive Polish followed by the Super Finish Nano and the
Optimum's new Compound II, Polish II and Finish

I used the Optimum products for this project over the 4th of July Holiday and was completely impressed.

Thanks for the replies and the welcome........ I'll try and post some pics once I get the truck rubbed down, hopefully they'll be of how good it looks and not what I've caused, haha!!
