View Full Version : Chrome Rim Help

Was able to pick up these rims and tire a few weeks ago for the biz truck for 600$.Im the MAN couldn't pass it up. As u can see in between the spokes seems like there's lots of grime and brake dust build up. but its not a smooth surface like the face of the rim.its textured. i have tryed megs mag polish, flitz. many difernt kinds of apc but nothing seems to remove these black spots. i Have many dif compounds, wd-40, sandpper for headlight restoration (didnt want to even attempt on chrome before getting some advice. but any kind of help would be much appreciated

Be carefull. Use as little amount of downforce as possible

Did you try any solvents?

Try Meg's Wheel Brightner. If you do use steel wool, be sure they are #0000.

I hate to state the obvious, but get the wheel wet first and use APC
