I have a foam gun with DP coming in another order. This order is to really finish the car out good. Have sonax, tire gel and 2 bucket system already along with a bunch of locally bought stuff. Mostly glass cleaner and interior stuff. Is there anything else that I need to finish the paint out?

Does anyone know if the backing plate is 5 or 6.5. that comes with the griots?

The griot garage come with a 6" backing plate. if you put a 5.5" pad on there you will leave the edges of the backing plate expose and it will cause damage to your paint. you need to buy a 5" backing plate for 5.5" pads.

Most likely you will need more pads. 2 of each is enough, but its better to have atleast 4 compound/polish/wax. They get ripped, dirty, they drop and you always want a new one ready to go. I like the hydro pads and surbuff pads for more cutting.

Save money on wax and get collnite 845 or finsh kare 425. They are way cheaper, last way longer and most people can't tell the difference. You really don't gotta spend alot of money to get good results. purple power(a degreaser) is just as good as sonax when you scrub it a little.

Get a daytona speed master brush. these things are a must for spoke wheels and engine bays. If you have dirty carpets try a DA brush

I was thinking about giving AG a call and seeing if they would swap the pads for 5.5. Then I would just have to buy a 5 backing plate. Thanks for the suggestion on the wax and stuff I will have to look into them.

ya give them a call and see what they can do for you. Its a real PIA to change backing plates and pads sizes all the time. I have the GG DA and the 6" backing plate and some 6.5" pads. The 5.5" ones are way better. I don't use the larger ones any more.
