I was given this car for two days. It was in pretty bad shape, with RID's almost on every panel. I don't have a PTG so no wet-sanding the RID's. What was done was a simple two-step. Might be the most dramatic results I've yielded yet.

Wheels/Tires:
Sonax Full Effect
Zep Heavy Duty Degreaser 4:1
Poorboy's Bold N' Bright

Clay:
Meg's Mild w/ ONR lube

Paint Correction:
7424XP
m105 / 4"/5.5" Orange LC Flat
WG Finishing Glaze / 4"/5.5" White LC Flat

LSP:
Blackfire Wet Daimond / 5.5" Black LC Flat

On with the pictures:

Very nice work on the S2K. As thin as the clear is on these cars I wouldn't wet sand one even with a PTG. The RIDS are there to stay. Thanks for posting.

Wow and I thought mine was bad. Great Job! 105 works wonders. It looks really good. I agree with TDave, some things you just have to live with, I have a lot of rids I'm stuck with but when you can make an improvement as drastic as you have here it makes it easier to live with.Again Great Job!

Really nice turnaround! Good job and don't worry about the RIDS....you can't get them all out! :xyxthumbs:

Nice work, great example of taking a car's paint to it's maximum potential...

The RIDS are there to stay.

I agree.

It's usually not a good idea to try to remove all the deeper scratches on a daily driver. By removing the hundreds of thousands of shallow scratches you'll create the effect you're after and that's a swirl-free finish. It's usually better to improve the deeper scratches, (making them less noticeable), than try to completely remove the deeper scratches and instead just learn to live with them.

You added about $2000 of value back into the car. I am wagering that it was a good ROI for the owner.
