Ok, so when using a foam cannon, do you pressure wash (rinse) first, or foam onto a dry car?

I have been pre-rinsing, but not sure if that's the preferred way.

Aero,

When I use the Foam Cannon I presoak with foam......then rinse... then foam again..then wash. I've gotten outstanding results this way.

Exactly what I do.
That first coating of foam loosens the dirt. The first rinse washes most of it off. Then when you use your mitt after the second there isn't much dirt left on the paint.

Rinse the car, foam, rinse, then foam to wash.

foam, then rinse. Rinsing before defeats the purpose of lubricating the dirt to reduce marring.

foam the car first, and let the foam dwell for 5-10 minutes...then pressure rinse off...
