Hello all!

Does anyone know when pads have worn out? Other than the telltale signs like pads physically being damaged or falling apart.

Specifically we are using Lake Country CCS (6.5) and flat pads (5.5).

The orange, white and grey pads are used the most and get the most wear and tear. Mostly using M105 (orange) M205 (white) and PO85/106 (grey).

The pads still seem to be working well, but I'm not sure exactly how to tell when they have reached they're life expectancy and need to be replaced.

Thanks!

Good question.

I'd like to know too.

How do you know when if a pad is past its useful life?

I'm throwing them out when:

1. The pad seems to have lost it's original firmness...a ccs orange that 'squishes' like a soft finishing pad. At that point I'm guessing I'm not really cutting anymore.

2. The pad is so stained I can't tell my orange from my white from my black. Or my HT tangerine from red. I've started writing the color on the velcro backing with a silver or black sharpie marker to help.

Looking forward to hearing from the pros on this...anyone?...Bueller?...anyone?
