It was Thursday!
I still remember the day you came to the door. The UPS man had no feeling as he left you in your box at the front door with one corner dented. I know that you were worried that nobody would ever come, worried you would be all alone.
I pulled into my driveway, dead tired after a long day of detailing cars for people who didn't understand what it's all about... and There you were.
There sitting inside that large brown box. my heart raced!
What would you be like? how would you feel? what kind of work could we do together?
Like an 8 year old child at Christmas, I picked the box up (careful not to shake you too much inside) & brought you right into the livingroom as I ran to the kitchen to get a knife to cut the tape... my heart was beating loudly...
As I lifted one side of the box flap, there it was, the red box I was waiting for.
You were like candy for my eyes, the contours of the packaging to rival the sleekest of a mercedes.
What pads should I use? What polishes and sealants?? so many thoughts ran through my head as I opened the beautiful red box to unleash the awesome power of the Flex 3401. My heart skipped a few beats.
As I picked you up ever so gently and held you in my arms, I was awestruck at your solid construction and comfort in my hands. I was dead tired but I could have polished 1000 cars that night.
Ever since then we have been so close. Going to dinner after work and hanging out waaay to late at the nightclubs.. Oh the trouble we got into!
On the job, There are no swirls we fear or defects to worry us.
Yes, we are a team that cannot be stopped. With Menzerna (our New German friend from the club) we have cleaned up our city one car at a time.
Customers will sometimes ask "how did you make this car look so amazing?" I look at you, and you look at me and we wink at each other. and I say, "I have a special friend!"
Then we laugh, quietly.
