I have a client with several trucks that need overspray removal.
The paint is urethane or epoxy.
I have been using clay to remove the overspray, but I am not sure which
clay is the most agressive.
I have used the yellow pinnacle clay and blue clay magic.
Does anybody know what the most aggressive type of clay is and where to get it?
Has anybody had problems with the Clay backing plate you use with the porter cable scratching the paint? I found some deep scratches after claying with the porter cable.
I was using new clay, pad was used, but clean, with plenty of lubricant and at a low speed, about 2 on the porter cable.
I saw on some overspray removal company website, that they use a "foam eraser pad".
Does anybody know what this is? Does this exist, can you buy it? Or, is that just what they refer to the clay as.
I am having trouble removing the overspray off the black trim and molding.
I had limited success with clay, and limited success with "Wax Blaster" which is for removing wax off trim. I think my last resort would be to try to dye the molding and trim, but I am not sure if that will work.
I tried laquer thinner (bought at walmart), on the paint and trim also, it seemed to loosen it up a little bit, but it did not remove it.
Any advice?
