I saw a post of this on another detailing forum...

A few years back I was really fascinated with mechanical watches. The complexity of some of the movements just astonished me. I felt like I was wearing functional art on my wrist. Fortunately the fascination (obsession) stopped before I took out a second mortgage for something like a Breguet Tourbillon...although, I wouldn't mind one. ;)

I haven't purchased one in a few years, but I still enjoy and appreciate the ones I own. Just wondering if anyone else is fascinated with them.

Here's a pic of my favorites. I have a few others, but these are the ones that regularly find a place on my wrist.

L - R: Omega Seamaster automatic, IWC Portuguese Chrono, Rolex two-tone Submariner w/Serti dial, Jaeger-LeCoultre Master Moon.

Nice watches Sevenrd, My wife keeps telling me she wants a Rolex but I have not got her one yet. I'm not into Jewelery but I do like a nice watch.

I love watches, something I get from my dad. He's always loved watches. I currently have about eight watches. Thank god I don't have an eye for the "expensive" ones, this hobby of detailing is expensive enough, but I love it.

Nice watches, I have an Omega, IWC, and wear a Citizen for everyday use.
I'm into watches too, but do not have a lot of them.

I like a nice watch as well and fortunately my interest stopped a while ago. I bought a $600 Seiko when I was 20 years old(still have it), which was 18 years ago. I wouldn't mind having a nice Tag one day:D, but the most I'll spend on one is a nice Fossil for a couple hundred like these:

I just have an Breitling Navi and ESQ Antero (blue face) from Movado, I sold my Maurice Lacroix, at a nice little profit I might add. I love IWC and Jaeger I'm actually looking a those two brands next. I wouldn't mind a Tourbillon, now just have to find a way to afford one, be kinda funny walking around witha watch that cost more then most exotics lol. I like a few of the Frank Muller designs as well. Theres a guy I chatted with on 6speedonline that's highly recommended for watches.

I have a nice simple Movado I received for X-Mas last year. My first one, and I didn't know to much about them. I really liked the circle at 12 'o clock. It just stood out.

I've been into watches for years. I have five right now but only spent some real coin on two of them. Being in college I don't have much money to spend on them. Specially when I need the money for wax :D . I got my eye on a Breitling right now, maybe soon after graduation. By the way nice Omega Sevenrd.

My entire family has Tag Heuers, I'm the only one who's missing out! My next big purchase will be a new digital SLR camera, so this will have to wait.

I like the Tags because they are modern, but not over the top.

Remember: nice things speak for themselves!

Yes! One should complement my very chic Tom Brady Jersey, eh? offsets the #12 nicely :D

My mom does survey's online, and accumulated like $100 in amazon gift certificates, and ended up paying under $100 for my Movado watch. What a deal!

I've started getting into collecting watches, I just got three seikos, all the same style, but ones got a white face, black face, and blue face. I'm waiting for the blue one to come in. I planning on getting some more, and my goal is to own a tag one day.

After wearing Movado's and ESQ (movado's low line) for years, I went back to Seiko. No battery, never fails, and always gets compliments. Cannot bring myself to pay for a Tag when local jeweler says the internals leave alot to be desired.
