Infinity FX35, D/A MF correction, Opti-Guard protection.

I did this one a few weeks ago but haven't really had the time to post the pics. The vehicle was actually in pretty good shape but ended up needing a 2-step to get the correction level we wanted.

Process:

Wash - Foam bath with CGCW and 2BM
Wheels - Sonan Full Effect and various brushes
Tires - Optimum Power Clean, dressed with Megs Hyper Dressing 3:1
Clay - Megs mild clay and ONR as lube
Paint correction step 1 - D300 and MF cutting pad on the GGDA
Paint correction step 2 - 106fa and tangerine LC foam on the GGDA
Coating prep - Foam bath/wash with CGCW and OPC followed by IPA wipe down
Glass - Megs D120
Exhaust tips - Optimum metal polish
Trim - 303 Aerospace Protectant
Paint Protection - Optimum Opti-Guard

Sorry, not a lot of pics as I was under the gun on this one (Impala waiting)

Before pics:

Some DISO could also be seen along with some light webbing.

Gorgeous of course! Did you mix OPC and CG CWG in a foam gun or did you spray the paint with OPC then foamed with CG CWG? Not that it matters since the end result will be the same, just curious really.

I mixed them in the foam cannon and let it dwell, followed by a wash with CGCW in my bucket. :xyxthumbs:

It seems that all the expensive wax shows more on black paint.

2010...I would assume all OEM paint, and this is the key to the MF system finishing the way it should. Awesome job my mentor! :D

Great work Rasky! As dumb as this sounds, I love your tape job!!! I like to take my time to tape as much as possible to make clean up easy in the end, and I think you do even more than me! Oh, and the paint looks great too!!! lol

Black is best for showing any LSP. ;)

Thanks Janik. I realized the spelling after it was posted but figured most people would not even see it....good eye. ;)

Sorry I haven't emailed you back yet. Next week sometime may work out now that I'm caught back up.

Nice

Thanks!

Yep, all OEM paint. This paint acted a little weird but the MF system still worked very well when heavy pressure was used.

...mentor, LOL! :D

Very nice! I really need to get a good camera.

Thanks Troy....I'll sell you mine. :)

Thanks bud.

My old man is a painter/body man so I always enjoyed helping him tape....though I'm nowhere near as good at it as he is. Anytime textured plastic trim is involved it always gets taped off. The weather stripping between the doors was actually somehting I picked up from someone else on the forums....can't recall who though. ;)

great work! nice reflection shots

Thank you
