I am using Griot's Garage Interior Cleaner (Griot's Garage Interior Cleaner, Vinyl and rubber cleaner, multi-surface cleaner, all purpose cleaner (http://www.autogeek.net/griots-interior-cleaner-gallon.html))

This cleaner hasn't made any improvement. Is there anything else I can do?

It will take more than that. Try something similar to goo gone. If that didn't work. You could get aggressive and polish it. Griots makes a plastic polish kit

I would advise against the above. Goo Gone will most likely remove the dye from the vinyl and polishing will only add gloss.

It is possible that from repeated placement of the arm on the edge that you have worn or in a sense "polished" the surface from the rubbing and sweat. However, I would start off with an APC and an upholstery brush (http://www.autogeek.net/natural-tampico-upholstery-carpet-scrub-brush.html). Spray the cleaner on the area, scrub gently with the brush (gets down in the textured groves) and the wipe off with a clean MF towel. I'm not familiar with the clean you listed above but Optimum Power Clean (http://www.autogeek.net/optimum-power-clean-apc.html) works very well.

I for the uber nasty spots like that I use purple power degreaser diluted one cap in a bottle the fill with water...

If that doesn't work it probably is skin polished!
