The Ultimate Car Wash Bucket - Cleaning Tools - Car Washing - Car Care - Griot's Garage (http://www.griotsgarage.com/product/car+care/car+washing/car+cleaning+tools/ultimate+car+wash+bucket.do)

had this for some time now. have to admit it is the king of buckets. has grit screens. one on the bottom and one as a shelf to hold your mitt. also has a neat feature on the bottom to let your pour the right amount of soap in the bucket. rolls out on casters. a big plus. and holds 6 gal. of water. all topped off with a lid. a really well thought out bucket. makes the washing experience all the better. :xyxthumbs:

I've had one a couple of years myself and use it every time I wash my truck.

:iagree:

I've had one for several years...while I never really considered a wash bucket to be high tech or to even matter when washing a car, this bucket convinced me otherwise.

It should be standard in everyone's battery of car care products.

Other than the wheels what makes this any better than a cheap bucket and grit guard? IMO $40 for a wash bucket is just crazy.

It's like anything else in the automotive world, some stuff is worth more to others for various reasons. Why would anyone buy a fire hose nozzle for $40 or $80 when you can go to Walmart and buy one for $10? Trust me, I see your logic on this vs. a $5 bucket with a $10 Grit Guard insert.

I have one but can't use it because my driveway is not flat and there's no way of locking the wheels. I would use it all the time if I could. Built in grit screen, shelf to hold your mitt which would be great for rinsing it out when you finish washing, built in measuring cup at the bottom to measure the right amount of soap, wheels to push the bucket around the car so you don't have pick up the bucket (on a flat surface of course), and holds 6 gallons of water for those big wash jobs.

Richard, the casters aren't replaceable? You can get locking casters that are similar in appearance to the ones Griot's puts on its buckets\ at local hardware stores.... I would think you could make them fit somehow.

Nice bucket. Around here it would be useless with the casters on it. Too many gravel driveways.

Here are a couple pictures of the inside, one shows water levels in gallons and liters, and the second picture is of the little measuring cup:

Charlie, I'll be 100% honest with you, the first time I looked it appeared that they were not replaceable. Then after this post I looked again and with a little tug the caster came right out! Looks like I will be checking out a couple hardware stores my friend :props:

I could buy two buckets, two grit guards, a measuring cup, a wash mitt and some soap for the price of this bucket...seems like good marketing, and that's about it. I've been doing without it for this long, no sense in fixing something that isn't broken.

I love mine, use it for mobile, it's well built and survives my durability testing which says alot since I break everything I use, it holds a lot of water but after 2 cars it's time to dump it, water gets to contaminated to safely wash with a one bucket method

Ugh and the detailing cart...God I hate looking at them. Its a plastic card with two trays and they want how much for one?

Yeah no thanks.

I've always thought the Griots Wash Bucket was a very slick design and it's rectangular shape makes it very appealing. For $39.99 I think I might just have to add one of these to my arsenal...:props:
