my only issue is that the dealer drives like 5 or more screws into the front bumper to hold the license plate on... come on!!!!

When you do new car detail, did you polish the car? I know that when people buy new cars at dealership, they have to run it through a car wash and use dirty MF to dry it up.

I got a coworker about to but a Charger and he wants someone to give it a new car detail. I was thinking about maybe M205 or PO85rd, then finish it with 2 layer of sealant.

Car looks great by the way. I only use Autoglym HD wax couple times but their beading is incredible.

just inspect the paint. this car, fortunately, was not detailed on the lot so i didnt have to do any polishing, the paint was in great shape. if the car is a light colored car i doubt youll need to do anything, you mostly see dealer mistakes on black (or dark), non metallic paint.

one thing to be careful of when doing a new car detail is not to smudge any wax or sealant onto the rubber trim!!!! its all in pristine condition and its very noticable on a new car. make sure you also seal the wheels too!

Thanks! I never waxed my wheels before but going try it next time I'm free. My car is in need of a detail, been so busy lately with work and side jobs.

Peter Schreyer (previously at Audi) is Kia's chief design officer now, and it shows!

Oh and my 2010 Kia Forte has 6 holes in the bumper...

Both KIA and Hyundai have come a long way in their automobile making and looks dept. This one actually has a good luxury look to it. Lucky for you the dealership didn't touch it. Good job.

yeah it does show, and you can tell by the way some things look like the gauges and small lcd screen in the middle of them. there are lots of similarities in the design of the kias and audis. not saying that kias are of the same quality... but the similarities are still there

congrats on the new ride, both hyundai (the new elantra won in the shootout in it's segment in the new motortrend) and kia have been moving up the ranks very steadily and show no sign of letting down. for the front holes from the plate, check out bumperplugs.com. also, it would look cleaner if you debadged the badges (optima and the other on the right side)...

The Kia looks very nice, good job!

I remember a couple of buddies I have working in Detroit mentioned the big move Hyandia/Kia made with the new Design hiring. They were only speculating but they thought good things would soon be in their pipeline.

Guess they were right

Awesome...I'm always reluctant to click on any thread with Kia in the title. Looks very nice!:dblthumb2:
