Hello, all. This is my first post as a member of the AutoGeek forum.

My question today is one related to my personal motor. As you can probably already tell by my username, I have a sliver 2000 Toyota Celica GT. I bought the car in February as the opportunity was right. It belonged to a middle aged woman who kept it under a carport and only drove it a few miles from her home (it has 44,889 miles currently). She also kept all records of oil changes, maintenance, etc.

I've been using the Surf City Garage system on it which, is a paint sealant, carnuba, and a glaze. It has a nice shine to it, however, I just think it could have a more brilliant appearance - maybe more depth in the paint. I've come to AutoGeek to research possible products that could give me the desired shine. I've purchased the Wolfgang leather interior kit for use on my mother's 2007 Toyota Solara convertible, which is a great product line. I've been considering wax from the Dodo line, formulated for light colored vehicles. Has anybody used this or have the same dilemma I have?

Also, being an 11 year old car, could it be that the age of the paint has a factor? It's a very nice vehicle and I can tell you, I wouldn't have bought it if the paint were not in very good condition.

Thank you in advance for any and all feedback.

Getting that depth, gloss, and shine is all in the prep. Pics of your car in sunlight and close ups of the paint would help. Your car being 11 years old it is hard to say how it was taken care of. It probably needs a good polishing, and possibly compounding. Done right you can probably get that look you are going for.

As for the Dodo product line, the products I have tried are great. However, the only wax I have used from them is their Supernatural, which is very nice.

No close-ups or shots in direct sun, however I will upload those tomorrow.

Hi I have a 2001 silver GTS that I purchased in 2000. It is a DD with almost 100k miles but for the most part of its life it has been garage kept or at least sheltered. I've tried a few different combos like WG TSR with the FG , Meg's UC, and XMT 360 with Lake county HT pads and wasnt getting the results that I wanted. It's probably due to my lack of experience or technique but the thing that finally worked for me was Meg's DAMF system (just the D300 with MF cutting pad) followed by P085RD.

As for the waxes, I've only tried Pinnacle LS, DG105, and finally SNH. SNH has the most depth and gloss of the three IMO. I've uploaded some photos so you can check out the SNH, GL in finding what works for you. krisp37 Gallery - AutogeekOnline Gallery (http://www.autogeekonline.net/gallery/showgallery.php/ppuser/32651/cat/500)

As James has said its all in the prep work. You can put the "best" wax in the world on it an not get any better results than you have now.

I ended up going over the car with Wolfgang Paintwork Polish Enhancer and the Fuzion Estate Wax. I'm really satisfied with the results. I went with Fuzion because it seemed as it was the most versatile and complete wax on AG.
