Does anyone else have trouble with leaking/broken gallon jugs of Meguiars Professional Detailer products?

It seems every shipment Megs Professional Detailers products I get has at least 1 container leaking or broken. I do not blame Autogeek at all as they are ALWAYS willing to fix the issue and the packages seemed to be packed well. Their customer service is second to none! I must assume that UPS is throwing around the packages.

I just feel bad that I have a complaint with almost every order. However, I do not feel like I should get a partial container of product instead of the full one for which I paid.

I was just curious if anyone else has the same issue and how they handle it. Additionally, should i call Autogeek for a replacement once again or just let it be?

Thanks for the advice!
Josh

Why would you not call them? You paid for full, you got partial. That is the no brainer if I've ever heard it.

I've probably gotten over 50 containers of Megs products over the years (quarts and gallons) and only once did one come in damaged and the box was severely dented so it was obvious that FedEx dropped it. I know it sucks, but the only way to really get what you paid for is to call and tell them.

So far so good. All of my Meguiar's pro products have arrived safe and sound. Autogeek's packages are always well packed. Knock on wood.

I have only ordered 1 Detailer line gallon size and it was APC+ and it leaked. It got on some of the MF applicators I ordered but luckily wasn't much.

I Remember reading somewhere(I think here) that megs was having issues with their bottles that the detailer line came in. Definately try calling AG as they will surely fix the issue. Perhaps suggest them dumping it into a different container to help avoid the issue. Don't know if they will but it doesn't hurt to ask.

My APC+ is the same bottle as OPC (gallon). OPC came with a foil seal + PBMA sticker on top while the Megs APC+ had no PBMA sticker and no foil seal on the inside. It leaked a bit inside of the box but i doubt it lost more then an oz.

That was my 1st every ordering up a gallon of Megs product so I hope its not a normal thing when I order more.

Mine always comes with a sticker to seal the cap. The last order it wasn't a PMBA, but something with arms lol.

What was that old luggage commercial with the gorillas or chimps destroying the luggage? American Tourister? Sometimes I think the retirement job for those "actors" was working at UPS...

Here's my UPS horror story:

Before looking at the following pictures; please be advised that thanks to the AWESOME packing job of the AG staff no Master Blasters were injured in this UPS shipping disaster. No thanks to UPS, the Master Blaster survived unscathed...:props:
