I have an unfortunate problem with my 2005 GTO, the weather stripping on the two rear quarter panel windows is the eye sore of my completely detailed car. It looks like its been baked out in the sun all of it life. I can't just replace the stripping because Pontiac has to make it difficult and make the stripping attached to the window, so I'd have to buy two whole new windows to replace the stripping. Anyways my question is what kind of product is there out there to give a little more life into this stripping?

What you need is Duragloss 531. Over apply the DG 531 and let it dry for 20 minutes. Then take a towel and give it a good stiff buff. At that point depending on the material of your seals you will find the over applied DG 531 will kind of ball up into white balls. Just buff all that off and you will be left with restored seals that will last for many months without fading.

If it's a little uneven after buffing the first coat you can apply a second light coat and wipe off immediately.

UTTG is another option but has it's own tricks for use on areas like this.

I use the Gummi Pflege Stift and it's not working. I've applied it daily for the last 2 weeks.

I use PB trim restore on my 16 yr old stang trim and it works great. My trim is very faded and greyish in color when not dressed. Turnd the clock back and keeps them black for around 3 weeks depending on weather.

Here is a picture I took back in 06' of what my trim looked like before and after PB TR (mirror and trim)

I ended up having my mirrors painted but it worked good when I applied it and last weeks.http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v280/wytstang/Picture023.jpg

Scrub with a terrycloth and a good All Purpose Cleaner first. It took me a couple hours on my XLR. Bear down. Then do what Corey sez!
