Anyone use these pads? How are they.

I used them on a car recently with pretty hard clear, cut through fast! Followed up with D300/mf then PO85RD/gray/black. Doesn't take much product and you can clean them with air or brush.

The will give you great cut, usually require some follow up. Still use them pretty often.

Great cut with little effort for the correction step.

I love mine. They take some getting use to, but they do provide remarkable results

I've had real good results with the 5.5" Surbuf pads and M105.

I have only tried mine twice. The 2nd time was on this Corvette with the typical hard GM clear. It did nothing using it with M105. My tuf buff black wool corrected it easily by comparison (and also using rotary vs DA). I had forgotten to mention in the writeup about trying the Surbuf on it. My point is don't expect it to get out the bad defects. It won't.

MF Pads > Surbuf

Mark, even though I have never tried the mf pads, i doubt they remove as many defects as a rotary will with wool pads. Have you tried both? What's your findings?

I agree, Richy. I was speaking for DA use. Rotary/wool is still the king for removing defects.

Surbuf are nice over standard foam pads, but does appear the Megs DA system really adds over them too.

Do you think the Megs MF Pads remove more defects then Surbufs?

richy what black wool are you referring to the tuff buff?

I personally feel the Surbuf pads are more aggressive with a DA than the Megs DA MF...but hey that's just me.

I prefer to correct with the Megs 5.5" DA MF discs (less aggressive method).
