I finally got my garage built after having a tree fall on the old one and got 4 new shop lights out of the deal. Each shop light uses T8 bulbs abd I would like to know which type would be best for garage lighting. My local Home Depot had many different to choose from. Any ideas on which ones would be the best?

I use Phillips 6500K T8s with an 85 CRI rating.
The CRI is really the most important number to look for. The higher the better.

I just got some new ballasts and T8 bulbs from HD. I used the same ones as Charlie and am very happy with them. The higher the CRI, the more like daylight it will be. I also bought 2 huge (12 inches long by 4 inch diameter) CFL's that have a high colour temp too....they are amazing at showing defects. I have them overhead and the T8's along the side.
