I'll be honest; I probably should have gotten some 2500 grit sand paper and wet-sanded this thing up a bit. This would have leveled out a lot more of the scratches.

I would not recommend this method to anyone, unless you do not have a drill or buffer. Also, this was the first headlight I've restored, so it may be a bit rough. I know I probably would have had much better results from a machine, or other process.

Here is what I used:

This is the text spot I used to see if the WG swirl remover had any effect:

Again, I know I didn't remove every scratch, but I made a huge difference in the look and that is what I'm going for. Mom's happy.
Thanks for looking.Im the MAN

Looks good to me! You achieved the same finish as using the Meguiar's $20 OTC kit, well at least going by your pictures. What matters is that mom was happy :)

You'd have to have your nose just about touching the headligh to see the majoraty of the scratches left. It actually looks pretty good. I just can't explain why one section of the headlight looks like orange-peel.:dunno:

Considering that was not done with a machine, you did a great job!

I know of no kind way to say this (hand job) all I can add is that its very gratifying to be able to complete a job by hand

Is that better :)
