Just in case the neighbors didn't already think I was nuts, today I gave them unquestionable proof. My original plan was to change the oil in my trusty Snapper; however, I could barely find the drain plug. What started as "knocking off 8 years of grime," became more of a detailing project. My process was less than professional since achieving a show car finish wasn't the intent. I mainly used Amazing Roll Off on the engine and Megs Gold Class Shampoo everywhere else. I finished with 303 on all the vinyl & plastic and dressed the tires with Megs Tire Foam.

Here are the pictures:

The sad thing...I didn't get my oil changed. Once I found the drain plug, I couldn't get it to budge. Oh well, as least it will look good when the engine blows. :props:

Laura, you have taken the fun of detailing to a whole new level. While you're neighbors may think you've gone over the edge there's little question who's got the greatest looking snapper on the block!! :props:

No problem. I had the same thing happen on a tiller. I just used a small hand pump in the oil level check hole to suck out as much used oil as possible. Then refilled with fresh oil. Still running great and it's been fifteen years. And about thirty oil changes.
But your mower sure looks great!
