Water spots on CR-V roof rails

I'm not even sure what to call them--roof rails? I'm referring to the black plastic strips, both lengthwise and crosswise on the roof of our CR-V. Anyway, they are water-spotted. Before applying an ordinary polish (M205? Ultimate Compound?), I thought I'd better ask the brethren what what product they recommend to remove the water spots. I tried the 4-Star Pre-Wax Cleanser, but it didn't touch the spots.

I have the same problem. my wife has a 2008 CR-V and I have a Rav4 with similar rails. In the past, I have used Klasse AIO to remove the spotting.

Would Duragloss 501 work, or would it stain the plastic trim?
