The first one I did was a buddy of mines VW

The rest of the cars are all neighbors who I was recommended to by a friend whos car I did last summer. It was pretty cool they came up with a schedule and I ended up doing 4 cars and may end up having more recommendations through them.

Chevy Equinox



So this one I started off doing by myself and thought it was going to be easy,after all it was only a few years old. Well after I washed it I disccovered like the previous cars that I had detailed there was tons of industrial fall out and some tar and bug reminants. The whole back of the car and parts of the sides were covered. After a few hours of claying and going nowhere I called a friend who is another local detailer.



Products Used:

DP extreme foam wash

Wheels/wells/Tires: Megs APC+ 6:1

Clay: Pinnacle Ultra-Poly

ONR Clay lube

Cleaner wax from local detailing company.

Tarminator

Windows: Invisible Glass

Trim: UTTG

Tires: Surf City Garage tire dressing

LSP: Menzerna Power-Lock



Interior:

Trim and mats: Megs APC+ 10:1

Dressed with 303 Aerospace

Ok so here is a Jeep Commander. I actually did the neighbors car before this one which was EXACTLY the same. Unfortunately I didn't get after pics so im not going to bother posting the befores. The car was in decent shape anyway, Just looked awesome when i cleaned up all the chrome and used menzerna Power lock



This one was not that bad on the outside. Needed to be clayed and a little tar here and there. I also had my buddy come help me with this one and I am SO glad I did.

The lady told me that the interior was going to be discusting because she has messy kids and she wasn't expecting it to be perfect

I was not expecting to see what I saw when I opened the door.

Ok so here is where we get into the bad part. Just imagine this. There was sugar dumped between the console and the seats. The map pockets on the doors had gum, bandaids, and wet sugar in them. They were very sticky. There were lots of sticky candy reminants, chewed gum, boogers wiped on various places. There was marker, pen and paint on the seats.

I first vacuumed which took me a really long time. I had to pull out both front seats to get all the stuff between the console and seats. I also pulled all the plastic trim out and vacuumed under there.

Once Everything was vacuumed really well I cleaned all the trim and plastic with Megs APC+10:1 and it worked well.

I tried some OTC products on the seats. It cleaned them up a little but not nearly good enough.

I stepped up to APC+ in a test spot and it pulled some color out.

I tried Krud Kutter in a test spot and it worked amazing. I looked it up and down, in and out and the leather looked really clean. It didn't pull out the color or dry it out. It looked almost brand new. It took the marker and paint from paintballing out.

Unfortunately for the fabric between the seats I tried Megs APC+, folex and Krud Kutter and it lightened the stains but didn't take them out.

On with the Interior Pics. I will be honest the pics don't show everything. There was stains on almost every inch of the interior.

ThirdgenTA... I see you used Brown Royal on some of the rims and tires. How do you feel it worked?? I have looked at it twice and have not pulled the trigger.

XLNTShine- Brown Royal works pretty well. Probably a hair better than MegsAPC+ IMO. It's about the same price I believe. It's advertised as a spray on rinse off product, but unless you already cleaned your wheels really well the week before, you still have to agitate a little. I sometimes just spray it on and wet it down and wipe with my finger and it takes care of all the brake dust.

Very nice turnaround. I was looking at the engine bay and thinking, they probably looked at the engine bay, thought "that's nice" and had no idea how much work it took to get it looking that good.The owner must have driven around with the oil filler cap off for a bit for there to be oil stains up there.

I'm sure after seeing the turnaround you performed on that truck he'll be calling you about the motorcycle asap.
