After driving this rental CR-V for a month, I decided this afternoon that I could not stand the swirls, hazing, marring & water spots any longer. I decided to give the sample of Poorboys PwS a try with the Edge 2K Orange (Light Cut) pad to see what improvement I could make before my knee & shoulder told me to stop.

First a few befores . . .

The paint felt like sand paper & when wiped with a micro fiber, you could hear it catching on the fibers, so claying was definitely needed. I used lots of Poorboy's S & W as lube, and an old clay bar that I had set aside for wheels. It is now so full of contaminants that it is in the trash!!

Then I hit it with the PwS on the orange pad, spread at 2 & bumped up to 5. I made lots of slow passes with moderate to heavy pressure. When I checked the hood, I couldn't believe the improvement. I had planned to step down to a polishing pad, but I was so pleased with these results that I listened to my knee & shoulder & called it a day.

they never recognize the difference. Been detailing every rental car I have had since the late 80's. I cannot stand to drive those dirty cars. Never found one yet that even had water in the window washer tank.

PwS is awesome. It's amazing what it can do without any abrasives at all!

Alot has to do with the operator's skill. Mam, you have skills!!!

Thanks for posting that!

Wow, I can't believe PwS took that out, that was swirl city. Does PwS have fillers? I'm really suprised at what it took out and left a really nice finish, I want to grab some of it now lol.

Oh yeh, you have serious detailing ocd for doing a rental:D, I wouldn't, but that's generally b/c our rentals end up being suv's of which I damn sure not going to detail or if the Lincoln goes in they give us either a Navi or another Towncar. Rental place tried giving us a Ford Fu*kus (yes my mother coined that term lol), took it back and got another truck lol.

Oh my God, we are a seriously OCD group!
Sounds like a fun idea, actually!
On Saturday I saw a guy in a very shiny clean truck pulled over to the side of the road with his spray detailer and a microfiber, checking for dirty spots!! I wanted to take his photo and post it here. I am like, oh my God, a new potential forum member!!
Lol. Seriously. My husband was cracking up!!

What's PwS? Forgive me, I'm not with all these new acronyms..

Nice job on the rental.. I washed/waxed the one I was given while my car is in the shop. Cleaned up the interior too.. Anything dirty bothers me, including our house.
