Found this picture years ago and have always wanted to share it...

I've always been a big fan of Don Knotts movies and when I found this picture I had no idea Don Knotts was associated with any kind of specialty truck like this and I've never seen one in this trim package before.

I've seen that ad before, but never seen one of the trucks. There were a ton of those "special" trim packages back in the 70s.

Though to be honest, I saw the thread and my first thought was this "dude"

Very cool! I have never seen nor heard of that package. It would be nice to have one -- along with a Lil' Red & Warlock. Of course a new R/T to complete the fleet...maybe an SRT10 in between.

I saw this truck featured on the TV show Trucks! a few years ago. It's a pretty cool little package, but never did too well with sales so they're pretty rare today.

Even if they sold a zillion of them it's over 40 years old!

According to a quick search yesterday, there were roughly 1500-2000 made in '70-'71. There's a website dedicated to them :)
