I'm getting ready to retro fit my garage for my new hobby and am looking for some ideas. I saw posts about detailing collections but nothing about the workspace. If you guys have any ideas, tips or suggestions, please let me know!!!!

The most important component is lighting. I installed 8 T8 duals. Amazing difference. My next upgrade will be installing a split unit Heat Pump.

Agreed...lighting is crucial. I have 6 sets and can fully detail all night long with the doors closed. Heated, 4" slope for water run off, water faucet inside, insulated doors, custom 8' doors (just so my truck will fit) and just installed a 62" 9,500cfm ceiling fan today! Can't wait to try it out.

Wow! Nice setups guys. In the house I rent in Atlanta my roommates just installed 10 new 8' overhead lights. It's very nice. In Savannah I have 2 of them. In Naples, none! Sucks.

Galaxy I love that garage! Very nice!

On a side note, I see that you're an AMSOIL person... I currently use Royal Purple but am wanting to try AMSOIL.... maybe in a couple of oil changes lol

I'll have to take some new pics of mine; it's currently in a state of total disarray as I am in the process of remodeling it for the second time. Last re-do was way back in 2003 so it's time to update.

Already have the lighting and reorganization basically done, but I have yet to paint, touch up the walls, or get the concrete leveled and racedeck flooring installed.

My gargage is a chaotic mess. Junk everywhere. Boxes piled high. Lighting that doesnt work very well. Its pretty big. Has a very nice workbench, that he built with plenty of tools and plenty of storage, huge table saw, it has it all. He died about 10 years ago and I was young and had no use for it at the time so its gone downhill. :( Its just storage now for what doesnt fit in the house.
