Super thick black wool cutting pad...

The other day I was at a body shop doing an interior detail (dust galore) and I was talking to one of the prep guys who was doing some wetsanding with 2000 grit sandpaper and began to polish with an older brute Milwaukee polisher... He applied a few dabs of 3m perfect it onto this monster thick black 7-8" pad ... The awesome part was that his Milwaukee must have been going 600rpms and cleaned up the sanding marks with ease!!
Anyone seen or use this black thick pad?
We looked on it and there were no stamping or brands on it and he couldnt recall where he acquired it but I would def like to get my hands on one!

i have an Black Edge wool pad. that might be what it is.

Probably that thickness but it had longer strands with a few white strands

i forgot bout that one. he said black wool and first thought was Edge pads
