I use it. Now don't take this the wrong way, but CG seems to overhype their products in the description. I really like and it do not regret the purchase, but it is not the hype they make it out to be. Don't get me wrong, blacklight topped with DP Poli looked amazing on my car. I just added a coat of Souveran over it for S&G's.

Anyway, I recommend the product and give it 2 thumbs up.

I've used it too

I'm of the same mind as James. It's been raining a lot so it's still on there about a month now. Did one power wash after the car got dripped on by a leaky pipe in the underground garage at work but nothing else. Durability is good so far and wife did notice the added shine after I first put it on but I had also just clayed the car for the first time so maybe that had something to do with it as well.

The radiance kit comes with blacklight, the V7 hybrid sealant, one useless MF, one good banded MF, and a foam applicator.

I used it under Menzerna Power Lock before going to Detail Fest and thought it looked great. Didn't get to do a light claying, polish, or top with a carnauba like I wanted to, but it still turned out quite nice. Few pics (not my pics, sadly):

Nobody knows what it is. Not even chemical guys as they say it's a "completely different product then anything on the market" but many people categorize it as a glaze/sealant.

When I called CG they told me it was a glaze that had better durability.

I suspect that is more about marketing, like Zaino calling itself show polishes but yet having no abrasive qualities. Kinda stands out in a crowd I suppose. Someone suggested to me its a glaze similar to dark one from Poorboys and compatible with sealants and or waxes.

I guess it could be marketing. I took a look at that old thread and the CG distributor said its a new style/different type of LSP.

When i was given the original sample which i still have i asked the same question and i was told it was neither a wax or a sealant ,it simply is a new LSP in which the ingredients are blended in a different way to most of our other products ,but hey who cares if it works then im happy LOL

Its a great glaze with weak protection. I like the product I used it on my wifes Accord
2 coats topped with V7 and it looks great. I think I will use V7 more as a once a month booster and not a stand alone. On one of my works loaner cars I used BL once again 2 coats topped with Bilt Hamber Finis wax and both added something the other was lacking and it is a great combo both are so easy to apply.

so it's a glaze then? If I topped it with V7 how much durability are we talking?

I'm guessing less than a proper sealant like WGDPS or Powerlock

I've used it. Leaves a wet, slick finish, easy on/easy off with a 30 minute cure time.

In talking with CG, it's kind of a glaze/sealant ...or a glaze with good durability. It does have a cure time albeit short. It an be left alone or topped with a sealant or wax. I topped it with SN.

I spoke with D. Miaz of CG about a week ago because I ordered it thinking I knew what it was but after reading many posts, I only became confused.

Per our conversation, when asked if Black Light was loaded with fillers, he responeded by saying Black Light is a hybrid sealant that combines the glazing and sealing step into one. Then left it at that.

He did go on to say that Black Light is and always has been a stand alone LSP but can be topped with a sealant such as Jet Seal but is not needed. He also said V7 does not add to the curing time nor the bonding but rather tops the BL and adds gloss.

Black Light was designed as a LSP. Supposedly this type of formulation is new and other products are on their way.

Are the filler oils why it stains my fingers purple?

I have noticed that it is more durable than a regular glaze. It's been about 1 month and it's still there but then again my car is garaged.

Not sure on that one. I think maybe the purple is just the color pigment they chose because it may aid in the "hiding" effect.
