I Love the tight uniform beading of Poli-coat and the cleaning action i have found it has... I also love the slickness of WGDGPS and think it looks better on darker cars... It's very hard to choose between the 2 at times when doing family's cars. but for costumers I go with durability first.

So the question comes to the surface.... Which will last longer on a properly prep'd but not properly kept up car? which is more likely to survive the occasional touch-less car wash or neglectful owner?

Do either compare to DG105+601? or coli 845 or 915?

Has anyone compared any of these 4 or 5 offerings with ultima's sealant?

Just looking for input from those that have been around to see the end of the line for these sealants. I like variety but i also want to know that I am putting down something that nto going to be gone in a couple months.

I use WGDGPS all the time. I agree with you on the look for dark colors. I think it looks amazing.

I haven't used Poli-coat. But to me those are two different ball games. One is a paint sealant, and one a resin coating. I guess it really just comes down to how long you want to be protected for. If looks are a factor...then it's just preference.

I think he means DP Poli-coat paint sealant: DP Poli-Coat Paint Sealant, polymer paint sealant, auto paint sealant, DP Policoat paint sealant, paint sealer (http://www.autogeek.net/dp-poli-coat-paint-sealant.html)

I think you are confusing it with Opti-Coat: Optimum Opti-Coat 2.0 Permanent Paint Coating FREE BONUS (http://www.autogeek.net/optimum-opti-coat.html)

I have both and not only is DP more affordable, the coverage seems to last just as long, if not longer. I also feel DP to be slicker to the touch.

I just used it a few months ago on a black Mustang and it's still beading nicely. I can't really tell the difference in look, they're very similar. For now though, it's become my preferred sealant.

:iagree:

While I do really like the WG DGPS 3.0, it's durability on the side of vehicles during winter and rain is sub par compared to the DP Poly- Coat. I found the DP to stand up about twice as long as the WG on the sides of the vehicle, but not too much of a discernible difference on the roof/ trunk lid/ hood.

My feeling is that it's the abrasive action of the dirt that causes the sealant to fail prematurely. I find this of all waxes/ sealants on the side of the vehicle, but more so of the WG DGPS.

For summer, it's an amazing sealant!!!
