Any one know how 'flexible' cquartz is?
I have a retractable bed cover on my truck made of Lexan- Retrax brand- I'd like to coat.
I have Opti Coat but Dr. G says OC is not flexible enough for the 'shape change'

Good question...

Cool that Dr. David Ghodoussi is always ready to help answer questions...

Have you checked with Avi from CarPro or contacted their customer service?

Hi

from the pic i see kind of strips that roll , these strips are not bending right?
i dont see any problem to coat Cquartz on it, depends of what they made from.
in the thread lab test which a nice studant guy made in Poland he test it on plexiglass surface with very good hardness results , its almost same material i think .
ill try to find the video

Here is the video test :

- Cquartz adhesion by scalpel.MP4

2 or even 3 layers of cquartz on it will give more hardness even,
there wont any problems with flexibility since its very thin layer coat, each layer is round 1 micron

Thank you for your response:xyxthumbs:

The strips are not 'bending' per say, they're thinner spots in the polycarbonate to allow it to conform to the spiral(top pic) while retracted

Now that I'm taking a closer look at everything, I don't think flexibility of either products should be an issue as the bed cover's 'roll' is controlled, and nothing is 'stretched' or folded-
if that makes any sense

I have the one thats on my truck now- its a little beat up and cracking in some places, nothing major, and a new one waiting to go on(warrantied):)

I think I might half and half the one thats on the truck now to see
