Its pleasant 70 degrees here in San Diego and Ive declared today as carwashing day! I recently ordered two grit guards and I want to put them to use. I would like to know where I can get buckets these will fit in. I know HD sells those 5 gallon homer buckets but they are an aweful orange color.

Is there a place that sells white or transparent 3-5 gallon buckets that these will fit in? Preferable 3 gallon if these gg fits.

If you are referring to these we carry, I have not seen them in retail stores. Most retail stores carry the insane orange or the red.

Yeah, something like that would work. Hoping for completely clear. But it doesnt matter to much.

Im hoping for something retail so I can go pick it up right now.

Lowes, if you have one in your area, used to carry plain white or gray with a Lowes graphic.

the Lowes where I am only has the gray ones with Lowes on the front. I have 2 of them. Great buckets once you get the lowes branding off. lol.

I checked out both lowes and HD. I found two plain jane white buckets at HD for like 3.5 a piece. Got two of them.

Lowes had a cool transparent bucket with a foam handle and measuring marks but my grit guard didnt fit.

HD has the clear(ish) bucket with measurements along the side, as well as their normal homer buckets. Go to their cleaning aisle.

My grit guard dropped right in assuming we're talking about the same one. 3.5 gallon United Solutions bucket.... I wouldn't call it transparent though, so, maybe we're talking about a different bucket. Less than $5.00.

Edit: I went in w/a ruler to see if the grit guard fit & was measuring the bottom of buckets in the aisle. Obsessing a little at the moment.

I believe this was the one I found at Lowes.

My grit guard got stuck maybe 2 inches above touching the bottom. I actually had mine with me to test.

I bought two plain white 5 gallon buckets and two 3 1/5 gallon plain white buckets at Home Depot for right at $10. I think they even had clear ones too.

Oh yeah, they also had the orange ones if you want those instead haha

I have a pair of those exact buckets, but found the same thing with the grit guard. As such I just use them as laundry baskets for used MF towels and pads.
