Hello all I am getting in the mood to move! My wife and father in law are signing the lease for our new shop sometime this week! I will post pics when we get in there. I will be moving in May! (the current residents will be moving out by the end of April)

Sounds like fun! How big is the space you're moving into?

Not asking to be rude, just curious, what does Crownkote mean?

When you think of a crown do you think of something shiny and sparkly? or something dull and bland? So the Crown is the "gem" that people have come to expect their vehicles to leave looking like (i.e. "give your car the royal treatment") and Kote is coating just spelled differently. Originally I was going to do just sprayed in truck bed liners and that has changed as the market is becoming saturated with hacks as in the detail world... On the detailing side I have found that my clients that I have been servicing for years are coming back more and more and bringing their friends as well so now the Kote has kind of taken a stand for the protective coating I leave their vehicle with!

No offense taken plus it tends to stick with people....

Thank you.

It's a very suiting name and you are right it is catchy. It has a boutique feel/sound.

I like it.

That is the type of name I would like to create. Still worrying on it though.

Give me some ideas of what you like, what vehicles you cater to mostly, and what you have thought up so far... I can try to help... PM me if you don't want to post it here...

So the landlord of the property said that I can paint the garage area and the floor in there... I want my customers that come by with high end vehicles to feel like my shop is top notch not only by what I provide to them in the end but by the look and feel of the shop too.

So now I am looking for a cost friendly floor paint and want some suggestions if possible. also I am thinking a light gray on the walls would be a goof color with like a black and red or orange border stripe. What are your thoughts on this?

I would like to see your new location (even before you move in) - can you post the new address or general area?

As for gray walls, I have light gray walls in my garage and really like it.

Check out the Garage Journal forum for TONS of ideas from colors, floor coatings, compressors, power to lighting, storage, you name it.
