Not really a show and shine:

But to just say that silver is really hard to make it pop.

Okay pictures on silver paint -- are you kidding me I did not realize how hard that was so I gave up, not really I took 160 shots. Hell seeing swirls with my swirl light was almost impossible. I had to be at the right position in my garage to see this stuff with my ceiling lights.

I could not get the shots I was attempting to correct. So my wife took the car to a local car wash and this thing came back with swirls all over the car. Actually scratches. I think a micro fiber towel picked up a stone or something.

Anyway,

1. wash
2. clay
3. wash
4. 105 purple/yellow/orange pads
5. IPA
6. 205 orange/white pads
7. IPA
8. Blackfire Wet Diamond

I ran out of time and will have to wax next weekend

105 mirror shot: Check out the silver ZO6 in the reflection. Yeah baby.

And after 160 shots looking for how to show the results of my hard labor this is what I got when I was ready to say screw it at sunset. Damn, silver is just hard to show results!

So this is my first attempt at paint correction after testing on my truck last week. I will go back to the truck and test some more and go and lay down a detail on my 2010 ZO6.

Oh that yellow 4 inch LC pad worked wonders. It did a terrific job on the scratches. Unfortunately like I said my picture taking skills suck.

Thanks John. Yeah I took those shots with my iphone. LOL maybe I should move up. I certainly have better cameras in the house.

I feel your pain. I have a silver civic and it's hard to capture the defects correcty on camera.

It looks great now and those are some great reflection shots.

well, to be fair, anything will reflect when you take pictures of the paint at that angle and with that lighting. ;) Silver definitely can pop, but you need to get it into the sunlight to show it off. That is when the body lines glow and the flake jumps out at you with the right products. I'm sure if it wasn't overcast (looks like a lot of cloud diffused ligth) and sunset time that you would have been able to show off some great work.

OC the funny thing is when the sun came out I was underwhelmed. Geez, ### was all I thought. LOL.... So when I do the Z at least I know what to expect I think. My last order from AG came in so my plan is to...

1. wash Dawn/MG gold
2. clay
3. 205
4. PO85 RD
5. BFWD
6. SS II

I should get some pop I hope.

Next time I will take some pics with a real camera instead of my iphone.
