Recently I won the sample kit of EcoTouch Eco Touch Interior Car Care Kit, Eco Touch Sample Kit (http://www.autogeek.net/eco-touch-mini-kit.html). I had a detail this weekend of a disgusting 2002 Dodge Ram interior to try it out on. Unfortunately I wasn't able to try out all of the interior sample kit or the waterless wash that I won. Those will come at a later date.

Note: Weather - Sunny, 48 degrees. Sorry I don't have a temp/humidity gauge like CEE DOG (and this write up won't be as good as his either, sorry to disappoint), so no humidity reading.

I tried the following:
Eco Touch All Purpose Cleaner
Eco Touch Carpet + Upholstery
Eco Touch Window Clear

First up here are a couple pics of the interior I was dealing with. The truck was heavily smoked in and I don't think it had been cleaned since it was purchased.

This one is blurry sorry

All Purpose Cleaner:

Overall opinion is that it's a great general purpose cleaner. It tackled the door panel of this truck fairly well. It didn't get everything though and I had to end up using a stronger APC to cut the grime. But I believe that this is due to the heavily soiled area. Over all I think it would be great on your every day grocery getter that didn't see the history that this truck had.

Few pics:

Pic didn't come out all that good but that is the APC

After: As you can see there is actually a divider in the pocket. In the first pic it's hard to see because of all the dirt and grime build up.

Next was the Carpet & Upholstery Cleaner:

I was very impressed with this cleaner. It made very quick work of the stains in the carpet. You spray it on and let it sit for a minute or two, then blot it with a MF. According to the directions. I sprayed it on, let it sit, then scrubbed it with a MF, which worked awesome.

After vacuuming the rug twice, hitting it with my PC and a brush attachment, then vacuuming again I was able to see some of the stains in the carpet.

Another spot I did

Sorry after shot came out dark

Finally the Window Cleaner:

I was pretty impressed with the window cleaner as well. It made very quick work of the nasty windows in this truck. It also left limited streaking. A little bit but I think it had to do with how dirty these windows were.

Before: Mind you this is all on the inside! I hadn't washed the outside yet but the outside wasn't bad.
http://i38.photobucket.com/albums/e147/JPerrydore/2002%20Dodge%20Ram/IMG_6104.jpg

Product: MF is after using the product on that one window panel behind the drivers seat.

After: Once again I apologize for the blurry pic, but you get the point of how clean the glass got.
http://i38.photobucket.com/albums/e147/JPerrydore/2002%20Dodge%20Ram/IMG_6107.jpg

Over all I was pretty impressed with the three products I tried. And would recommend them to anyone. They may not be for a very heavily soiled interior as what I was dealing with, but they certainly held their own.

This truck was beyond the norm I think of your every day detail. At least for me it was. I get some dirty cars but this truck was one of the worst that I've dealt with in a long time.

It took me 4 hours just for the interior (mind you a 2 door cab truck!). I ended up vacuuming 5 times in all, not including the extraction I did.

Couple pics of after: again sorry for my awful photography!

Note: The speaker holes were hit again after I snapped this pic. With a stiff brush and some APC.

The passenger door panel was just as bad as the drivers side.

Man SeaJay, You picked a tough one for this review ( I am still working on my review for Eco ) but turn out is nice.....not the most powerful products, but effective, I guess thats the trade off between Earth Friendly and really powerful products...........Great review

Thanks. It looks like this may be a good option for me to deal with those vehicles owned by people who take decent care of their vehicles or as a maintenance cleaner. I appreciate the review. Can't wait to see everyone else's.

Definitely have to agree with you. More of a maintenance cleaner but a good alternative to harsh chemicals if your looking for an earth friendly product. Or you have that customer that drives the smart car wanting to ensure your only using earth friendly products!

Nice work on that interior Jason, it was pretty darn gross.

Thanks again for the straight forward review. I think you hit the nail on the head when you said they would be nice to keep in the toolbox for the Eco friendly customer.

Great review Jason! That interior was seriously trashed!! Thanks a lot for taking the time to take pictures and write everything up. I'm looking forward to trying a couple of products from this line as well. I had a good conversation with James over lunch at DetailFest. I ran into him waiting in line for some Barbque and after our conversation I stopped by his "booth" a little later. I really love the fact that they list all ingredients on each of their bottles. (Except samples because they wouldn't fit on those bottles) I welcome the full disclosure of the ingredients! People dont realize how toxic a lot of chemicals in some products are. Companies are allowed to skate by under a set of standards that are nonsensical. Granted some companies don't use toxic chemicals but its great to see the ingredients right there on the bottle.

Thanks again Jason! :props:

LOL, I actually had two pairs of nitrile gloves that I brought with me. I tore both pairs up when I was vacuuming out the interior and getting under the seats. So, I was working with what I had...ripped gloves!

I honestly don't know if I'd replace any of my current products. Again i think i may purchase them to have on hand for eco friendly customers. But I find that for example a strong APC that I can dilute down say 10:1, will fit my needs. And is a lot more versatile. But that's my opinion. I'd suggest getting the interior sample kit (it's only $13) and testing the products out. As I find it a lot of products come down to personal preference. I did like the glass cleaner though. Was very impressed with how well it cut the grime on the windows. I just find that an aersol can and foaming window cleaner works better IMO.

Thanks Corey! They are actually based in Dover, NH so I may end up taking a ride up there to check out their facility.

Wow, could you have picked a dirtier truck to test out the products?? ;) Great job on the detail and glad to see the products held their own for you!

Definitely let me know if you are ever in the NH area and we can arrange a visit at our facilities. :)
