Yes, exactly.

Generally I pick up several different widths and mostly from Lowe's. Lowe's has a wider selection so it's a one stop shop........

I think that the best is the 3m automotive green tape. Mostly because its flexable, meaning you can bend it around headlights without having to put so much pieces everywhere. Its the only tape ive used so far that is flexable to a point when you can makena circle with just one strip.

This is what I use. I hate the green 3M tape because if you get IPA or ONR on it, the adhesive smears all over the section that you're wiping off. That sucks:cry:

I used Meguiar's tape for the first time the other day. Sticks where you want it to and peels off clean. I've had occasions where the blue tape just didn't want to come off some places.

I use the blue tape but for some reason the color started to transfer in to my towels I guess when I was doing the ipa wipe.

But it sticks very well if you place it right the first time.

I've got a few different tapes, 3M Blue, 3M Green, Meguiar's, and 3M Yellow. I also keep some of the fine-line vinyl 3M tapes on hand for taping off body lines and ridges as needed.

I have had this happen to me to.......seems the adhesive gets all over the place. I have only noticed it with sealant though ................not so much with the polish or compounds, but maybe just because I leave the tap on till I'm all done.

Maybe should try taking the tape off before the sealant, and be careful applying the LSP.
