Well it’s another year and another Detail Fest has pasted. We are all exhausted here but so very pleased with the weekend. We had a blasted as did the attendees, the vendors and all of our great forum members. I realize a lot of you take time out of our family lives and time away from work to join us so I want to say a big thank you. Our forum members are the best out there, each and everyone of you put a smile on my face when I see you. You are all truly more then members of the forum, you are all members of the Autogeek family!
To all of our vendors, you all never cease to amaze me, from the moment I contact you with the Detail Fest information to right down to cleaning up and packing up from the show. You are all very supportive and very helpful and generous. This year we asked for all of our vendors to help us out and donate to the two charities and we are proud to say that those contributions really helped us out with being about to give a nice contribution to both of them.
Matt Steele and Bruno Massel, as always you guys are the best! You both know how to keep the party going. We appreciate all of your help on the microphone and taking time to talk to everyone all day. Just two awesome people to have the pleasure to work with!
This was the first time we really went after raising money for our Charities, so we would like to thank all of them for joining us. Autogeek would like to thank the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society volunteer Ken Coe; as well as the volunteers from Operation Comfort; Robert Rodriquez, Army Specialist Alicia Shackelford, and Jacob Staples from Layin Color in San Antonio, TX. Autogeek annually supports the national charitable organization Operation Comfort. And these volunteers came all the way from Texas to join us.
As for our Staff, there is not enough words to say thank you! I feel like we are very blessed to have the best staff around. They never say no and they never say they have been working too hard. They just do not give up, so a BIG thank you to everyone on Autogeek Staff and to those who volunteers to be staff for the weekend.
Max, I can’t say enough about Max, he is the man that never tells us no for this show. He wants everyone to have a great time no matter what! I heard he even picked up a good part of the beer tab from the beer trailer so they would be $1 beers on Sunday. I have worked for Max for years and he is family to all of us, probably the reason we never tell him no, because he does not tell us no! Just a great guy, everyone that meets him will share the same thoughts.
So thank you Max for making it possible to pull this off and for always being there to support us and our crazy ideas!
Now we must go plan for next year! There is no time to rest at the Geek!
