I finally had the opportunity to try out my wdgps 3.0 samples and got extreme dusting after removing. Prep included clay and Meguiars Ultimate Polish and hand applied wdgps lightly all over the car before waiting 30min to remove. I used about 1oz on a S550. I used meguiars supreme shine microfiber towels and the dusting was just insane. I had to do a final wipedown with m135 and took me about 6 towels to remove the wax.

Anybody else had any dusting problems with wdgps 3.0?

I think so too. I had 3 2oz samples I put together in a 12oz bottle but I may have just contaminated all of them considering the dusting is not common.

Been about a year since I used it. I dont remember much dusting at all. There was, however, a lot of static for a couple of weeks after applying. MF towels would crack and pop like crazy on it.

I had a similar issue with I applied it by hand using a foam applicator. I suspect what was happening here was the product being applied too thick which when removed results in allot of dust.

Once I began applying it with a dual action polisher this condition nearly vanished.

Were you applying by hand or with a machine?

That was my thought too. Very well might be a bad sample, but it may dust when applied too thick. A little bit can go a long way.

could you have applied too much ... sounds like it could have been the dusting culprit.

I guess I'll try it on a d/a but I usually hand apply all my sealants and waxes if I'm not in a hurry and never had any dusting like this with others. I barely used an ounce.

It might be a bad sample then. Give AG a call tomorrow they may be able to help you.
