Trashed! That’s about the best description for this Touareg! Owner of this beauty actually owns a VW Dealership. He has a home here in Texas(full time home), and also a place up in Colorado, where this car has been for the past few months. He brought it back to Texas to have me go over it, because he was completely frustrated with the “Colorado Look” that it has. By now, it’s on it’s way back up to Colorado again for another year. I’m sure I’ll be visiting this car again soon.

Washed with Chemical Guys Citrus Based cleaner to strip everything away. Then clayed with Meguiar’s medium cut clay. Then corrected with Meguiar’s G110v2 and a 5” Microfiber Pad and M105, then straight to wax. Had some Rejex that I’ve had for a while, never used it so I thought I’d throw it on this beater :D

Total time on this car was 13 hours, interior and exterior

Fantastic result.

How long did it take for you to achieve that (just the paint)? Have you used 105/205 (with foam pads) before you got the DA Microfiber system, do you feel the microfiber system takes less time?

Also just wondering if you know how did that paint get in such horrible condition, it looks as if they've been washing the car with a wire brush!

How would you contrast the MF DA process with the usual Rotary/DA paint correction process?

Dang... I really have to try M105 with one of the cutting pads.

Great turnaround! Did the owner wash it with a brillo pad and gravel?

The next car I do with the MF pad system I'm going to try a 1:1 ratio of 105 and D300 (already got it mixed) to see if I can get more cut but without the dusting.

Holy Crap! ###! Thats all that went through my mind when i was looking at the befores....like others said...did he use steel wool to wash it with or something? Good lord. Very nice turn around...hope he paid you well. Just curious...how come you went from 105 straight to wax without polishing first?

Great job...nice garage too :dblthumb2:

I'd say probably 10 hours just in the paint. I'm not sure if it took less time than a rotary job, but I prefer the MF process with the DA.

I enjoy it a lot more than rotary buffing. The results are amazing for just one pass on a DA. But for final polishing(when needed), rotary is the only way to go.

Went straight to wax because it really didn't need anything else, not for a daily driver anyways. I could see a slight improvement with PO85RD via rotary on a finishing pad, but not enough to justify it on this car. Plus the owner wasn't really prepared to pay for something like that. For him, this was spectacular! lol!

I've been playing with this system for about 4 years now, and I can say(maybe because I've had it so long) that I really prefer this method for cutting over the rotary. Not to say that the rotary isn't any better, but for my preference, I really like the MF cutting pads and M105. Slight dusting, but nothing extreme. The DA Compound works great, but just doesn't have enough cut for some jobs. And I've learned how to finish down pretty well with a cutting pad and M105, so it's a great combo for me.

Oh, and that's not my garage :( Wish it was though! I'd give anything to have a decent lift!

Awesome job on that VW! Unbelievable results! :xyxthumbs: I have a question about the microfiber cutting discs. Did you use only one cutting disc for the entire job? Also how durable are they? Thanks!
