So I recently just got to use my Flex for the first time last night. It takes a little to get used to but overall is MUCH nicer and smoother than my pc. The only thing I didnt like is the stock placement of the handle. I dont like having to reach over the buffer pad to hold it. The handle looks like it adjusts using the supplied allen key but I removed the handle piece from the buffer and it seems theres no way to change the position of the handle. I read somewhere here that it can be adjusted to your liking but couldnt find it in the owners manual either. Any advice or is this not possible? Thanks

Personally I have found that I like the side handle better than the front handle.... there's really not much adjustability with the "bail" setup. that would move the grip behind the pad.

I thought it was adjustable when I first got mine too, it's not. I learned with the Flex so it's handle is "normal" to me. I'm planing to dremmel away part of my stick handle so it will screw on in place of one of the allen head screws while the bail handle is still on. We'll see how that turns out...

I did it, both the bail handle and stick handle at the same time on my 3401. I couldn't find the handle on it's own in the AG store, it's the one that came with my FLEX L3403 (http://www.autogeek.net/flex-l3403vrg-rotary-polisher.html). Just thought I'd share some pics in case you want to do the same.

sanded down the sides so it's skinnier-

Now it will fit into the hole meant for the Allen head screw-

Fit's nice and tight. Done in 5 min-

Personally, I don't use the side handle, I like the feel without it.

I have the handle, but I haven't installed it yet. I'm gonna give it a try this week, we'll see....

I broke my handle by moving it to a from its normal factory setting. Just ordered a new one, becuase the machinge gets hot..

I do not think you can move the handle, I may be wrong. I may have moved the handle incorrectly, but it broke right away

I would like to know.
