I think I've been convinced to buy a Griot's Garage DA from people on here. :thankyousign:

Now what to buy with it...

I have:
-liquid souveran
-Klasse HGSG
-Pinnacle ultra clay bar (and lube)

Im thinking about:
Cobra™ Deluxe 6 inch Terry Bonnets 2 Pack (http://www.autogeek.net/tb2020.html)
Autogeek Detailer's Bag, detailing bag, detailing supplies bag, storage bag, tool box, buffer bag, car care organizer, buffing pads organizer (http://www.autogeek.net/autogeek-detailer-s-tool-bag.html)
Cobra Waffle Weave Microfiber Glass Towels, glass cleaning towels (http://www.autogeek.net/cobra-ww1627-3.html)
DP Total Interior Cleaner and DP Interior Surface Protectant come together for superior interior care. (http://www.autogeek.net/dptoinco.html)
Lambswool 6 Inch Leveling Pad (1) (http://www.autogeek.net/lc77216.html)

and also need (or want) a swirl remover. My car has 155,000 highway miles and is a 2004 black Honda Civic. It's not in too bad of shape but hood is rough from rocks/sand off highway. I do have paint chips that I have touch up paint for. My son took sand from the ground and rubbed on hood a few years back that I'd like to fix too.

HELP!!!

Thanks everyone!

Megs 105,205 and Menzerna PO 85rd. These are the stable for most paint corrections.

I should add I'm new to all of this and am very inexperienced!

Is this the right Menzerna?

Menzerna Polish PO85RD, Mernzerna 85rd, Menzerna finish po85rd (http://www.autogeek.net/menzerna-final-finish-po85rd.html)

Use all 3? or Meguiars 2 products OR Menzerna?

Does it matter what type of paint I have (Clear coat or ceramic)? Or are they the same?

Man I really feel dumb!!

Negative on the lambswool pad and bonnets.

Has the car ever been repainted?

Hey Matt,
Sorry about the confusion. It's three steps,

Megs's 105 =Orange/Yellow Pad CCS
Meg's 205=White Pad CCS
Menzerna PO85RD (for a final "jeweling" polish)=Grey/Green Pad CCS
Now I use this combo w/Flex3401 maybe Mark can chime in for the Griot's DA app...
As for me this set-up yields absolutely great results!

Isn't the lambswool/bonnet for wax removal?

Lambswool pad is a worthless correction pad.

Yes, the bonnets are for wax removal, but I think it's wayyyyyy better to remove by hand. JMO.

No, It's original paint.

That's what I thought and why I added that. I got that from the Pinnacle site. Is this not right??? What do you suggest for wax and sealant removal 07 z-oh-6?

It depends if you have small hands, use the machine/bonnets, but if you have large hands grab a Micro Fiber Towel haha j/k

Not the flat pads?

And yes Mark any thoughts for the Griot's application of this?

Trust me, nothing against what Jimmy has to say, but flat pads are the absolutely best when using a traditional DA(Griot's, Meg's, PCXP). Because of the forced rotation of the Flex 3401(what jimmy uses), CCS pads are fine because the dimples help glide the pad along the paint a bit smoother, and the 3401 is more powerful so it doesn't NEED full surface contact with the paint.

I'd skip the M105/M205 and go with the Meguiars DA Microfiber System. You'll get your car looking great in 2 steps with this system!

Meguiars DA Microfiber Correction System, paint polishing system, car polish, car detailing system, compounding system, remove scratches (http://www.autogeek.net/meguiars-da-microfiber-system.html)

Pick up some of these and remove wax by hand. These are very nice, super soft MF towels!

Super Soft Deluxe Microfiber Towels, microfiber detailing towels, buffing towels, micro fiber towel, detail cloth (http://www.autogeek.net/super-soft-microfiber-towels.html)
