Hi everyone. Noob to the forum. Been trolling for a few weeks, figured I'd sign up.

My car has holograms, swirl marks galore. I've been wanting to polish them out forever, but haven't had time/money to put into doing it.

I'm finally in a spot where I'm going to purchase a polisher, and some product.

From what I've read, it's between Griots and the PCXP. Leaning Griots (warranty). Now onto the product:

Just for starting out purposes, would the Megs DA system be a good suggestion?

Thanks in advance everyone!

The one thing I'd like to add of importance, is the handles on the Griots and the PC are much different and something to consider.

The Griots has a "bale" handle, and the PC has a traditional "angle grinder type" handle.

The bale handle is a bit more comfortable (to me).

I'm a big fan of Menzerna polishes. Also, if your deciding between the PCXP or the Griots machine, my vote is the Griots

I vote Griots and product depends on many variables. As Mike and other forum specialists say the least abrasive products to get the job done. Mark a few test sections and see which is working for you. Menzerna SIP/Nano and Meg 105/205 are favorites. WG Twins would be a great combo as well using the DA.

I used Meg Ultimate Compound and Ultimate Polish recently and it did a great job removing swirls on my s10 with my Griots.

Thanks to everyone that has replied so far. I'm definitely leaning towards the GG. Still on the fence on what product to use.

If it makes any difference, my car is black
